Paul Askew is a Liverpudlian solo artist breaking new ground in the 2020s. His charming yet powerful compositions portray the image of a dedicated and gifted songwriter, with a strong desire to express the universal ideas of love, fear, existentialism and self exploration. His unique blend of jangle, indie, and art rock has welcomed praise from fans, peers, and even legendary DJ Gary Crowley who labelled him as an "inspiring songwriter"

Growing up, Paul subconsciously soaked in artists & bands such as David Bowie, Nirvana, The Smiths, & The Beatles from music playing around the home. This exposure helped spark inspiration in his early teens to pick up a guitar and start plucking out melodies. Before long, the songs began to flow, and Paul quickly amassed local live performances which began his fusion into the Mersey music scene

Paul has now released numerous singles to critical acclaim, a home grown EP, made numerous appearances on BBC Radio London & BBC Radio Merseyside, and played notable gigs across the UK. Most notably, Paul supported Starsailor icon James Walsh for his 2023 solo tour to critical acclaim.
